Mah Noo Friend, Fraysure.

Two weeks ago, I woked up in teh late afternoon to find a furreh green creechur in mahliving room. It smells like teh woods and it’s made of FUR!

What’s dat, Mum? Oh? I see.

So I just learned that it’s made of FIR, not FUR, and his name is Fraysure.

I was weirded out by Fraysure at first. Mum reminded me that Fraysure always sleeps over in our libbing room in December, and that hims is friendly, not skerry, and Not for climbingks. Fraysure is mah friend now; I really enjoy being near hims and often nap on his skirt.

I have another green friend named Marimo. She came to live wif us January 30, 2014 and she lives in teh office because she like teh sunlight and there are skylights in there. She’s pretty! I bet she’d be fun to play wif, too! Look:

  1. You’ve had a tree for two weeks now? Wow. We’ve never seen one growing in our living room. Jan says there isn’t any room but we think that’s just an excuse. She could always stand at the computer and type so we could have the extra room.

    1. Funny yoo say dat! Two yeers ago Fraysure had a bug problem. We saw a cupple of aphid-y fings and thought nuffing of it. Then we noticed teh gifts unner teh tree were sticky, but thought maybe it was just sap? And den on New Ears Eve, mum moved teh skirt and couldn’t see teh floor because of teh bugs.

It was sad to see Fraysure on teh deck in stead of in teh living room. He looked cold outside in teh snow.

(They were aphids. A mild winter the year before plus growing next to white pine trees allowed them to thrive. They excrete sugar water, hence the stickiness under the tree.)
